Arbonne One Week Trial & Day One
Hello everyone!
Like previously mentioned on my about me page, I said I am a coffee "addict". People, this is no joke. During the work week, I generally drink coffee from the second I get up to 4 or 5 PM each day. If I'm on showings past closing time, or past 5 PM, sometimes I'll stop for a Starbucks or McDonalds iced coffee on the way. I don't want to stop drinking coffee, either. I think it tastes good and smells even better. However, any normal human can agree with me that coffee often doesn't sit right with your stomach. For me personally, it makes my stomach ache if I drink it without eating a hearty breakfast, or if I drink too much, or if I drink too little. It doesn't help that I always use creamer, and have a mild case of lactose intolerance. I'm also starting to have reverse side effects of coffee, where the high caffeine intake actually makes you more tired. I often find myself, at 2 PM, staring at the computer screen, not even registering what I'm reading for hours on end, because of the coffee brain fog! WHY AM I SO TIRED ALL THE TIME??? Sometimes I honestly feel like I can't see out of my eyeballs.
My sister's good pal, Jen, did us the pleasure of throwing us an Arbonne Party a couple weeks ago. You know, invite your friends, sit in your basement and have someone deliver a pitch about their fab business products, why you should buy all of them, and essentially why you should quit your day job and sell said product. (I love you Jen) <3
Arbonne, I learned, is dairy free (which some people roll their eyes at but when you turn 20 and turn lactose intolerant, you'll understand the importance of this) and vegan and adds no artificial products. So, here I go, loving the pitch and wanting to spend all my money. Here is the link if anyone wants to do more research on the company, I won't pretend to know what I'm talking about when it goes to ingredients in these products.
Anyways, I bought Arbonne dairy free Protein Powder, in vanilla, that actually tastes really freaking good. I use protein powder anyway, but usually the cheap "Whey" stuff from Walmart. (Which I learned from Jen that Whey is actually dairy)
It looks like this.
Second, I bought Fizz Sticks. You are supposed to mix a fizz stick with water and drink it whenever you feel tired. It's supposed to boost your metabolism and improve mood, endurance, and alertness. THIS IS MY COFFEE REPLACER FOR THE WEEK.
They come in citrus and pomegranate.
Lastly, I bought what is called Digestion Plus, lol. The box is basically a commercial for Tums. This contains prebiotics, probiotics, and enzymes which are good things that do good things for you?? You also drink this.
My goals for this week are:
1. Drink Fizz Sticks instead of coffee :(
2. Replace breakfast everyday with a protein shake
3. Ultimately pair with good diet and exercise for better health
Day 1:
7:30 AM: Powered through a vanilla protein shake mixed with one digestive plus packet, way too fast because it was yummy.
Before Lunch: Drank my first fizz sticks packet because I was jealous of everyone else's coffee.
11:00 AM: Ate leftover chick-fil-a chicken nuggets for brunch. Guys I would never waste these ever.
3:22 PM (Now)- I haven't eaten anything else yet, but I've drank another bottle of water. I'm getting tired again and all I can think about it Bear Tree Pizza. And my stomach just growled.
Will keep ya'll updated. Has anyone else had an experience with Arbonne?
Update:
That night I had a grilled chicken salad for an early dinner. At about 8 PM, my roommate tried to bribe me with delicious cheese and mushroom calzones, and I drank half a protein shake instead. Go me.
Day 2:
I actually don't crave coffee this morning. I mix a protein shake and one Digestive Plus packet thing, because it takes like dirt and I can't drink it alone. That is my breakfast. MMMMMMMMmmmMMM.
Around 11:30 PM: I eat lunch because I all I do all morning is look forward to some real food.
I work out, with help from Bodybuilding.com- which I do 3-4 times a week- I can elaborate on certain workouts in another post.
5:00 PM- I eat grilled chicken, brown rice with 2 gallons of salt and pepper, and veggies. Not very satisfying.
At 8 PM: Craving food, so I drink half a protein shake. They really do fill you up!
Day 3:
7:45 AM: I blend my vanilla protein shake with one packet of DP, and pineapple and mangos. It was a little too sweet, and I actually prefer it alone.
